ABSORBENTS

ICM's absorbents are the fastest, safest, and most cost effective when it comes to removing oil and chemical spills. The products absorb up to 20 times their own weight in oil (L/kg) and are thus among the best on the market. The products are available in several variants in order to be best suited for the task at hand. Rolls and mats are used for garage floors and under machines, while 'socks', which are highly absorbent tubes, are used to contain or prevent oil spills.

SURFACES

• Basic (BA) is an economic and very fast-acting surface.
• Fine Fiber (FF) is commonly used for industrial applications. Fast-acting and more durable than Basic.
• SMS (Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond) is the most durable surface. An extra wear-resistant material is attached on both sides of the product. This makes it possible to drive trucks, pallet trucks and carts on the absorbent, as well as using it as a preventive measure.

TYPES & COLOUR CODES

WHITE - OIL ONLY

White absorbents are used exclusively for oil-based products. They do not absorb water, which makes them very useful for oil spills on water (absorption and containment) as they remain liquid even in saturated condition. Likewise, Oil Only absorbents are suitable for outdoor use.

BLUE - OIL ONLY

Blue absorbents are used exclusively for oil-based products. They do not absorb water, which makes them very useful for oil spills on water (absorption and containment) as they remain liquid even in saturated condition. Likewise, Oil Only absorbents are suitable for outdoor use.

GREY - UNIVERSAL

Grey absorbents are universal and suitable for most liquid, but non-aggressive chemicals.  

YELLOW - CHEMICAL

Yellow absorbents are used for chemical spills. The yellow colour indicates a hazard associated with subsequent waste
handling in order to
