The Skipper barrier system consists of a number of modules that can be assembled, expanded and adapted to any need. The Skipper unit, or Skipper XS for indoor use, forms the central element of the barrier system. The unit contains 9 meters of self-retracting barricade tape. Place the Skipper unit on a traffic cone and pull the ribbon out to another Skipper unit, a dummy unit or a receiver to create a barrier. If desired, you can add a rechargeable light or an A4 sign with instructions on top of the device.
A complete aesthetic and more functionality can be obtained with the Skipper barrier post, reflective tape and the related foot. In addition to offering a higher platform for the Skipper unit and all its functions, the post can be equipped with a collar, which makes it possible to add Skipper's waste management assortment. This gives you a combined barricade and recycling system as well as a sign. A practical and space-saving solution. In addition, there are other receivers to connect the tape with, such as permanent and magnetic wall brackets, which can be attached to e.g. trucks and containers.
The Skipper XS product line moves all the smart benefits of the Skipper system indoors, so you can create quick barriers in warehouses, factories, offices, etc. The large selection of receivers makes it possible to connect the barricade tape to almost any surface including glass, tables, pillars, pipes, shelves and more, completely without screws! Therefore, the Skipper XS and its assortment of accessories are perfect for monitoring accident sites or preventing access to hazardous areas.
When you try to set up ordinary traffic cones in windy weather, you often end up having to improvise by e.g. stacking or placing heavy objects on the cones. Thanks to Skipper's innovative design, you no longer have to use impractical patchwork solutions. The spiral shape of the cone diverts wind gusts, which makes the cone more stable in windy weather. For particularly challenging conditions, a weight ring can be added to the foot of the cone. In the dark, the Skipper cone's glass bead coating reflects twice as strongly as ordinary reflectors. The cone is naturally compatible with the Skipper barrier unit and all of its accessories as well.
The Skipper unit was invented in 2003 as a way to reduce the number of traffic cones and create an effective barrier at the same time. The device can be mounted on any standard cone and contains 9 meters of barricade tape. Two years later, the Skipper company was founded and the barrier system launched, which was praised for its innovative design. In 2007, the product range was expanded with a wide assortment of accessories and the complete safety solution was created.
Today, Skipper exports to more than 30 countries around the world, while design and production still take place in England, with headquarters in Knutsford near Manchester. The company dedicates a significant portion of its revenue to research and development of robust and reliable safety solutions and has recently added waste management to its assorment.
